Helping founders go global

Bonnier is looking to partner up with the digital stars of tomorrow with Bonnier Accelerator, a new program for entrepreneurs interested in working with a global media leader.

“Rapid changes in the media industry make extremely tough demands that affect the digital development of our companies and our search for completely new digital business opportunities. Bonnier Accelerator is one way for us to address this,” says Bodil Ericsson Torp, VP for communications and human development at Bonnier. “It’s a unique opportunity for the right person to turn an innovative digital concept into a business. The program is one way of connecting us with top talents and ideas, and together shape what the future of media will look like.”

For the next month, anyone with an idea for a new scalable media concept or interest in becoming an entrepreneur on their own merit together with Bonnier can apply at Bonnieraccelerator.com simply by filling out a form and uploading a video. The best candidates will be chosen by an Expert Jury. The Expert Jury will include Compricer founder Jakob Tolleryd and Wrapp founder and former Spotify CTO Andreas Ehn, as well as Jonas Bonnier, CEO of Bonnier AB; Ulrika Saxon, CEO of Bonnier Growth Media; Anders Eriksson, CEO of Bonnier Business Press; and Bodil Ericsson Torp.

The chosen entrepreneurs will get three months of mentoring, support, office space and a salary from Bonnier as they develop their ideas and turn them into business plans. Then they will present their plans and if approved, they will be able to take it to the next level. Most will likely work together with Bonnier Growth Media, the business area of Bonnier with the objective to build growing and profitable media businesses and to discover scalable opportunities in global markets.
